Since I finished the mime education 1996 in Stockholm I’ve been able to work in a variety of productions: dance and theatre, children and adult theatre, performance and entertaining…even motion capture technique: every new job have been “filtered” through mime. But from the beginning of my professional life I’ve been interested in learning how to teach, to get a better perspective of the technique and the art form. In 2010 I finally got the opportunity to start working as assistant to Stanislaw Brosowski – professor in Mime acting and the creator of the education in Stockholm – and later on a bigger part of the education. Currently I am the teacher in mime acting for the 17th class since the education began in Stockholm, my seventh. Class description: The class is going to focus on the ground to the Swedish mime education –which develops from Polish mime – how we create and enhance the emotional necessity behind the movement. From our mime perspective, there is always a correlation between the outer choreography – the expression and quality my body use to move – and the inner choreography – the line of impulses that give necessity to move; my thoughts, emotions and thrust/urge.

Guillaume Pigé + Möt konstnären -Frankrike/England

Guillaume Pigé -Founder & Artistic Director of Theatre Re www.theatrere.co.uk Guillaume Pigé is a Theatre Director, Teacher and Producer. Originally from France, he has been living in the UK for the past 15 years. He established Theatre Re in 2011 and has directed each of the company's productions to date. He trained with theatre makers and directors such as Andrew Visnevski, Steven Wasson, Corinne Soum, Daniel Stein and Thomas Leabhart. Rooted in Etienne Decroux's Corporeal Mime, his practice takes inspiration from science, philosophy, psychology and public health to address global human challenges through moving and visually striking poetic theatre. Through Etienne Decroux's Corporeal Mime and the study of articulation - space, body, rhythms, and weight - we will explore how the smallest things take on a larger significance, and become more than what they are. We will learn to own and play with physical details, develop new material, and push the boundaries of what theatre, without a playwright, can do.
